I still remember the moment I put pen to paper (or rather, fingers to keyboard) and began crafting the story that would become TILT. It was a journey filled with deep reflection, challenges, and an unwavering passion for storytelling.
Now, seeing my work featured on Caribbean Authors is an incredible milestone—one that I’m both honored and humbled by.
A Dream Turned Reality
For 35 years, I dedicated my life to education, helping to shape young minds and inspire growth. But beneath it all, there was always a storyteller in me waiting for the right time to emerge. TILT is my debut novel, and having it recognized in this way is both an honor and a humbling experience.
In my interview with Caribbean Authors, I had the opportunity to share:
How a real-life news story sparked the idea for TILT
The 4+ year journey of bringing this book to life
My thoughts on love, loss, and the complexities of relationships
What this writing experience has taught me about perseverance and self-discovery
A Story Beyond the Fairy Tale
What would you do if the love of your life disappeared without warning? That’s the question that drives TILT—a novel about marriage beyond the fairy tale, about loss, truth, and the delicate balance of love. In my interview, I reflect on the themes that shaped this story and how they resonate with real-life relationships.
A Moment of Gratitude
Being featured on a platform that celebrates Caribbean authors is a full-circle moment for me. This journey hasn’t been just about writing a book—it’s about finding my voice, sharing stories that matter, and connecting with readers who see parts of their own lives in my words.
I invite you to read the full feature and join me in this exciting chapter of my writing journey.
